Hej!

I've been a member of other longhair forums for years (mainly the German version) but now that I recently moved to the US I decided I might as well join in on the action here! I love looking at all of the gorgeous photos and reading about everyone's experiences but participating always makes me a little nervous...

About me: I'm Sigrid, from Sweden originally but I've been living in Germany for four years. A friend of mine introduced me to the magical world of long hair (or should I say the magical world of longhairs?) and I've been growing it for a while now with no plans of stopping.

I love learning about natural haircare methods and would love to someday make my all of my own hair concoctions and avoid traditional shampoo/conditioner if possible.

Hi & welcome. Aren't you (by now) overwhelmed by the amount of products they offer in US supermarkets & grocery stores? My goodness, that always gets me! The absolute choice you guys have.

I do admit at first I went a little crazy and bought a small stash... Probably not as large as some member's product hoards here but I'm normally a minimalist when it comes to everything except hair toys.

I was really just excited to try Herbal Essences since I'd heard so much about the scents but I have a very picky nose and I stopped using shampoo years ago so there really wasn't as much for me to buy as I thought there'd be!

Natural for me mainly just means not mass-produced or coming out of a plastic bottle. I think that word is overused as a marketing gimmick at times.
