    Default Humidity shedding

Do you think that high humidity causes extra shedding? I always have higher shedding at this time of year anyway but find when the humidity is high my hair goes frizzy and the shedding increases. Do you think the shed hairs get stuck/ tangled until brushed or washed or does the humidity dries out scalp etc and actually causes more shedding? Interested to hear others experiences.

I don’t know, it’ll be interesting to hear what others say.

I noticed that you’re in the U.K. and I just wanted to say, it’s crazy humid here at the moment isn’t it! I think I shed more at this time of year too, but I don’t remember it being as humid as this in September before. If it’s warm, it’s usually dry.

I've definitely had more shedding recently, but I think it is more the time of year than humidity. I've not spent much time outside over the past few weeks and it's a lot less humid indoors.
Length goal well and truly met, now just seeing how it grows ...

I've lived in both very humid and very dry places. I don't think it's ever affected my shedding. I've had more breakage from dried out ends due to arid environments but not so much actual hair coming out from the roots. Usually factors like water quality, keeping a happy scalp (so proper cleansing), and hormones play the biggest role in shedding for me.

No, I don't think it does.

For me, it isn't the humidity itself but the fact that high humidity can irritate the eczema on my scalp which causes increased shedding.
