Either a topknot gibralter bun (IIRC the name) held with a single short stick, or a low orchid bun held with a fairly short 2-prong hair fork. In fact that low orchid bun has recently become my sleeping bun.

A Ficcare clip? I just had my braid up in one.

I do have a ficcare I rarely wear, I should try it again. I’ve never gotten the hang of it, always pulls on a strand of hair in a weird way and the metal is quite heavy, but they are so popular with long hairs that I’m convinced it must be user error. Thanks for the suggestion.
I woke up like this (brushing the top of my calves somehow??)

Yes, there is a learning curve and I still struggle with mine! I found this folded braid by Hypnotica to be the most secure so far. I insert the Ficcare over the 'loop' like she does, and if there's extra braid it gets wound around it.

Usually braided. I used to always just do a ponytail, but now the hair has gotten too long and poofy for that, so I need something to contain it better.

A braid or a Cinnabutt bun, more often than not held with a Ficcare Max. I do occationally feel like I should give my sticks and forks some love too, but in later years they've mostly just adorned my bathroom

My friend's most impressive fourth ever braid on real hair a week after first learning, february-23.
