Thread: Layering Indigo on top of long term Henna?

Default Layering Indigo on top of long term Henna?

Does anyone know how hard it is to layer indigo on top of henna treatments?

I had ombred hair which I hennaed for a year and getting bored of it. Thinking to switch back to black (natural hair colour) but I don't know how easy it is... Will it take a lot of repeated layering, or will henna still somehow peak through? Should I do a 2 step method, or mix henna and indigo together?

Any advice would be so so helpful!

    Thanks

If you put indigo on there, mix a tad bit henna (about 2-5%) in it, so the consistency is smoother. Other than that, it should be just fine. If you are already henna'd you only need the second step.

Having lots of henna underneath is actually a good thing For black I recommend the two step method.

You'll find lots of information in the indigo thread https://forums.longhaircommunity.com...=indigo+thread
