No trimming 2022! Second half only!

Well thank you for saying so. They look a lot thinner in other shots depending on how my hair is arranged, but regardless -- I anticipate it going more in that direction pretty quickly without trims.

It’s pretty exciting to think that by the end of the year I’ll be (fingers crossed) at a good maintaining-length. I’ve got enough old heat/mechanical damage from my pre-LHC days that it will be a little while yet before the last of those poor hairs are trimmed out. I think that for my hair, it’s ultimately going to be better to have regular microtrims instead of annual trims with some S&D in between.

I’m joining this also as I seem to be on the no trimming train for the foreseeable future. My ends are doing much better since I stopped wearing my braids down at all, so let’s see how long it takes until I really feel like I need to trim!

lapis, your hair is stunning! You have such thick ends at that length, I wonder just how long your terminal is.

I think I'll be joining this challenge, I maintained for the last few months at tailbone to try and thicken up my ends but I'm getting bored, so I'll start growing again and see what happens.

Count me in on the challenge too! I'm at WL now, and working to fade out the purple dye enough to prepare for a re-dye. Looking forward to getting closer to classic length by the end of the year.

There is some bleach damage from late last year so that the purple would take to my strands, but I've only used semi-permanent hair dye since then (i.e. Arctic Fox).

Yep, definitely in this challenge, and for the appropriate 6 months instead of stupidly trying to push it longer this time (not good for my personal hair type)

Starting picture before and after my mid year trim - let's do this! Might try S&D this time as the splits got quite bad before my last trim and not all were taken off.

Looks more like hip than waist to me waist is shorter than people think, it's where the smallest part of your torso not where normal waistline from pants/skirt sits
