    Default Login issue

Sorry for the double thread, fellow mods, but I thought maybe someone here might have ideas!

I recently came back to my flat, so I haven't used that PC for a couple of weeks. When I try to use the LHC on it, I can't post or edit anything. I couldn't even report. It says something about a missing security token.

My Windows is up to date and I cleared my cache and cookies. Now I can't even log in! I input my username and password and click the login button, but it just reloads the page and I'm not logged in. I've cleared the DNS cache and I use the same internet on my PC and phone but phone is connected to WiFi and PC is not wireless. This is posted from my phone. The same happens using a different browser.

I'm at my wits end, any ideas?

    ETA: Browsers are also up-to-date

I tested this on another vBulletin forum (same version) and it worked just fine. So it's just the LHC :/

Same if you shut everything down, even power, and then restart? Computers execute code in giant endless loops. Small errors can accumulate (bugs) which need to be periodically "erased". More than just restarting a program like a browser. Sometimes you need to restart the WHOLE DANG THING.

So maybe starting fresh will work for you?

I took out the power (PC and router) and let everything sit for a few minutes. Still same :/

Wonder if this has anything to do with the 1 account per lifetime thing. That just coming from a different device gives issues.

Hope you get an answer soon, because to me... it's taking too much time. I would go nuts.

I thought the same thing at first too lapushka, maybe only a single login is allowed at once. But I can login from Chrome and Firefox simultaneously so that's not it.

I've been logged in on multiple devices since forever and this has never happened before. Just now while I was literally just... away.

I use Firefox for most of my online work, but Firefox is no longer "well supported" these days and can sometimes take an update or two beyond being "up to date" to work with some websites. PC and smartphone FF are not quite the same so one may work and the other not even though both are "up to date". If you use Firefox, Chrome might help until then. It works for virtually everything (but it's a resource hog).
I'm already using Chrome, but I think I'll download Firefox just to test. The other browser I tested was Edge.

I have never heard that mentioned about Firefox. Where did you hear that? Could you link me to a resource?

    It's very strange.

I'm running Windows Defender on my PC. I checked it out but couldn't see anything I could've done there. I have indeed googled the issue but didn't find any suggestion that helped, and some of the stuff I didn't quite understand either.

The system time is correct, but it's not synced with the forum (while I'm logged out). I'm not sure if it's supposed to be, or if it just relies on the timezone you've set for your profile, which then shows the time accordingly while you're logged in.

I'm using a desktop, does it even have a coin-cell battery?

    Is the system date correct?

Desktops have a coin-cell battery which powers the clock/calendar when the computer is turned off.
