No clue, but I don't think it's a make shift flexi, as I'm pretty sure I've seen those sold before somewhere, in different colors, so not handmade?

Yeah, the ones I have are pretty sturdy, and doesn't not appear t be hand made. I'm pretty sure I got them from a store that was listed on here at the time, but I don't recall the name at all. Aargh. LOL

There is a place in the city that I live in that sells those types of hair slides. It mostly carries stuff from Peru and South America.

I've never seen them referred to anything more specific than "slide barrettes" or "stick barrettes"

I seem to remember "bolo" being somewhere in the description.

I also seem to remember one with turquoise.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong....

I can't seem to find anything on them either, and I *thought* I had one book marked or on a list somewhere.
