    Default Is your hair darker when we値l hydrated?

    Does anyone else find there hair is darker when hydrated and lighter when there hair is dehydrated?

    No actually! That would be interesting though. Perhaps it's because most of my length is bleached?

    By contrast, when wet my hair is definitely darker
    scalp > SL > MBL > WL > TBL > FTL > LHC > ???

    I haven't noticed any color change after hydration... well only when it is completely wet

    Nah my hair is too dark to show a difference even if it did change

    Mine is distinctly darker brown when wet and about a shade darker when it's a little bit oily or a few days using non-sulfate shampoo. I've got light brown / blonette naturally but when it's not dried out it takes me into distinct brunette territory.

    Uh, yeah, but it's normal for hair to be darker when wet.

    Other than that, when dry and more hydrated I have not seen it be darker, no.

    I guess I don't technically know if my hair is more hydrated, but when my hair is oily it's noticeably darker than when it's been freshly stripped of everything. Since my hair tends to look a bit like it's wet when it's oily, maybe it's the same principle as wet hair looking darker?
