What is your favorite material for hairtoys to be made from?

What are your favorite hair toy materials (and which hair toys are they featured on if you're so inclined to share)??

I like them all! Acrylic and metal for damp hair, wood is reserved for dry hair. I have pieces with many combinations of wood, acrylic, resin, leather, stone, metal, horn, glass.

Mostly, it is a matter of matching the tool to the bun. A wide fork works best in a loose bun like the Lazy Wrap, a thin metal stick holds best in damp hair in a tight bun such as Shell's Everyday.

Toppers are a matter of aesthetic preference.

I had to choose "metal", because there were no options for either titanium or aluminum (think of the very popular Quattro sticks). Plus, I could only choose one (multiple choice might have been nicer).

Anyway, wish I could tick more boxes.

I chose acrylic, because that's my go-to these days. I think wood is my favorite aesthetically, but as Neko said, only for dry hair. So if my hair is dry, I'm not going to be sweating, and I'm either staying inside or it's not raining out, I reach for wood.

Wood definitely! When I sleep I do use claw clips made with plant acetate (no clue what material category this would be under) but in my daily styling definitely wood. My wonderful grandmother makes me hair sticks out of koa wood and I've found it to be my favorite wood for hair.

I only have 3 forks and 4 hairsticks: all 3 of my forks are wood and I love them, 1 of my hairsticks is bone, the other 3 are acrylic. I would say I lean toward wood.

Agree with Necko. match the tool to the bun. Wet or dry hair changes choices too.

Too bad I had to choose, I love and wear all, but in the end I think wood is the most aestheticly pleasing. My favorite hair toys are a mixture of wood and metal.

While I love wearing my wood Ketylo sticks and my recently purchased Baerreis wooden forks and sticks I have to say nothing beats Quattro metal hair toys for versatility, dependability and ease of use. I am also in agreement that hair toys should be matched to the bun and I really like lots of choices in both.
