You started your post with "let me know if this topic is redundant." How are the responses you received unsolicited?
Yes, when new people post a topic that exists, they are directed to the threads in question, and I've never seen anyone take that personally either.
I don't understand what's happening here. :/

I don't remember him asking for opinions. The original post was "please remove topic if it's redundant"
The reason he removed it as he said was to stop all the nitpicking and bickering that came from it. Just as much as if you didn't see the point of this thread, it was just as pointless to say there is no point. Mods approved, I don't see a problem. I don't understand why it became such a problem in the first place
Anyways, back on topic of original post
I want to
S&D regularly until all heat damage is removed, about another year
Learn more protective styles
Grow to waist by end 2021
Then even out my choppy hemline to a v or u
Let grow until TBL with microtrims in between

Popped back in to see the updates as I’ve been thinking about it, and find reading about peoples goal plans quite fun.
I have a distinct lack of labelled goals (maybe that’s why it interests me so much) but I’m hoping to love my hair and enjoy it as it grows.
Also I hope to learn methods for ease and comfort as it gets longer, I’m in the “mid-thigh for Christmas 2022” thread which is the nearest to a goal I have. Which is more a comfort/acknowledgement that I’ll still be here and still be growing at that time!
My next real goal will be CL.
Best wishes on your journey, Bat & all here.
Before I run screaming from this thread, hair on fire (sorry, had to) I just have to add that one of the things that prompted me to join up on this site was the lack, for the most part, of such ... excuse me ... childish behaviour. Bat, I'm sorry if you feel bullied, but I fail to see that here. I know I've suggested patience to you a few times, perhaps you might check yourself for taking your impatience out on this thread, in a sense.
I'm pretty sure we all want to see you reach your goals. It just seems, a teensy bit, that you're projecting. Pax, friend.

Wobbly are the walls of my mind. ~ Hip onward to tailbone and beyond~ No trimming 2021 from 8th February 2021 ~ My hair type is Asian.
Hmmmm.
I suppose my milestones look something like this, in order of achievability:
- reach classic/FTL-ish sometime in the summer
- maintain for the rest of the year or whatever it takes for me to once again think that my ends are tolerable
- possibly grow onward towards MTL
- ...while getting rid of bleached hair at a reasonable pace
Then again, at the same time, I think it could be really cool to cut back up to hip again and get rid of a huge chunk of damaged hair in one go! Hip-BCL is a really comfortable and practical length for me; I mean, it can't be a coincidence that I "maintained" my hair there for well over half a decade without particularly meaning to do so! It would make more sense to do a chop like that on bleached hair rather than completely virgin hair, I guess.

So, my goals are very similar to Ylva's ones
1. The first goal for this year is TBL, it will happens in about 6 month. My plane is, for now, to grow it till pretty much the end of the year and then I'd like to cut at least 1 inch. Ultimate length goal is between CL and FTL (I have very long arms and hands) .
2. Get rid of the damage. All of it. This will take years, but I can't wait to cut those 10 inches of blond hair I have.
3. I need to find an haircut that suits my hair because I'm not satisfied.
Ylva I can totally understand you for the chop! I sometimes think about it but to a longer length, like from classic to bcl.
I haven't thought about it yet, so this seems fun to do now!
*get to waist length during the summer with a small trim and grow the remnants of my bangs out longer
*try to maintain thick-ish ends with a straight hemline while letting it grow to hip
*for now my goal is I guess mid-thigh length, so I guess for the next few years I'll just be maintaining the ends while waiting for it to grow
That leaves me plenty of time to learn new hairstyles, and what works best for my hair!
(Second this.)
Back to the topic: my goal is to grow to waist with minimum trims (twice a year max!) and after that, hair condition permitting, perhaps continue to elbow length. I want to have a thick blunt hemline and I'm willing to sacrifice length to keep the hemline. Other goal linked to the first one is to find a routine that reduces split ends and breakage. I have a spot on the right temple where hair gets more easily damaged than elsewhere and I wish to tackle this.
