Default Longtime member apparently, new poster

I guess I registered here years ago and then forgot about it. The original bio I had in my profile said I was 25. I wish I were still 25
Anyway, I'm here to really try to improve my hair health and gain back at LEAST what I had in 05-08, which was aaaalmost classic length. Now I'm more like tail bone length but it's gonna need to be cut back to at least hip length, if not waist. At least the damage will be gone. And to think I used to to use a standard dog brush on my hair in high school and literally rip it through my hair if tangles didn't come out in one swipe. Sickening.

Also hoping that with improvement of the scalp and my health, some of the volume may return? I'm not up on terminology but I feel as though my hair has thinned. I've gone through some very stressful life events in the last 5-6 years so I'm sure that's part of it. I just hope it's not too late to fix it. Anyway, happy to be here. May we all achieve the length we want.

I think we all had a phase as teens (no? LOL) where we ripped through our tangles. You had so much to do, you did not even have time to brush your hair right. Hahaha!

    Howdy!

Hair thinning with stress, health changes, pregnancy, etc. is very common. You have probably found this thread already. Ideally, your hair may thicken back up if the underlying issue is over, like you mention these big stressors from a few years back. Regardless, there are plenty of people on that thread who are dealing with longterm thinning hair and who look just beautiful.
