I get the same and Search Now using Advanced Search just sits there doing nothing. I'm using Firefox 85.0.1 with addons disabled. Hmmm
I am not savvy enough to know what this means or if it's a problem, but I tried to use the search function and got a message that said
I guess I don't care if my search is visible to others, but I've never gotten this message before. The information you’re about to submit is not secure
Because the site is using a connection that’s not completely secure, your information will be visible to others.

scalp > SL > MBL > TBL > FTL > KNEE > KNEE+
I see the warning too on Firefox 78.5.0esr. Firefox issues the warning because the board is serving the page over a secure connection, but the search query will be sent over an insecure connection.
For a bulletin board, I wouldn't worry.

EgG, does "Advanced Search" work for you?
scalp > SL > MBL > TBL > FTL > KNEE > KNEE+
Okedoke.
EdG thank you. Advanced Search now works for me too IF I disable all of FF's "enhanced tracking protection" for this site.
scalp > SL > MBL > TBL > FTL > KNEE > KNEE+
