That doesn't matter for this challenge. What you *finish* in 2021 counts, no matter when you started using it. Whether it was late 2020, or whether it is a bottle that's been open for over a year under your sink. HTH!

Oh, yes, I knew that - I just wanted to have a better understanding of how much time it takes me to finish up a product. At the end of the year I am really interested in how many things I actually opened and finished up in 2021 (I am also considering of making a spreadsheet with all this information to also know how much I'm spending on products) .

I love demoting stuff. Especially body lotion or facial creams that are either old or won't do. I use them on my feet. It's far enough away from my sniffer that when it has an awful or too intense scent, I don't smell it.

Oh yes, demotion/repurposing is my first option before trying to rehome! I'm finding most face moisturisers can be used on my body, and just recently I started using a facial wash as hand soap when I realised my hands were reacting to the new hand soap that everyone else uses. So, it was bad news but now it's good news, prompting me to be able to use something else up

I CWC, and use different conditioners for both. This Kevin Murphy one wasn't great, but I finished it. Now I can finally open their young.again conditioner, which has been my holy grail for quite a while! And a new bottle of the Faith in Nature one, it's a good first conditioner and not too expensive either.
