Project use-it-up for 2021!

I decided it's good idea to work on my oldest products first, so I'm going by expiration date now. I have sulfate shampoo and coney conditioner by Ziaja that expired last year. They go first, totally good to use because they are not organic,bio or anything, looking good, smelling good. What your oldest products?

At the very start (because that's how our pantry works too), I put my newer stuff at the back. My stash has gotten so large, though, that sometimes things slip through the cracks.

My oldest products are between 5-10 years old.

If however, you have things like Shea Moisture!!! Do *not* let it get old!

I don't think I have anything older than (unopened) 2018 at this point, and right now, I'm mostly working on getting through the stuff I bought then. Like lapushka, I try to somewhat organise them by date or an equivalent logic, but I have a tendency to buy a lot of product x around the same time, so I remember the timings of the purchases quite well without sorting them out.

Right now, my primary use-it-up projects are some commercial but "natural" masks from O'Herbal and a 5-litre (!!) jug (it's like a gasoline canister, haha) of organic conditioner from Mother Nature's Goodies. Giving the latter product a good shake was a proper workout. This is its final shelf life year, so it was time to start on it, and it'll probably take me most of the year to get through it. Both things were purchased in 2018 and are subpar for my hair.

Yes, even my open and not-yet-expired Shea Moisture and similar products develop a weird, hardened, yellow-ish layer on top if I go a while without scooping product.

Yes, I got two more "natural" products that are up next, they expire this year. The conditioner got some drying out going on and I'm not going to let it get worse. I remember buying it because some sort of fear it going to be discontinued, but it is drugstore brand Alterra and it's been around for years. Anyway my stash seams not so big anymore, looks like longer hair eats up more and more of products faster
