    Hello there!

    I'm a biracial (black/white) woman from the US Midwest. I'm active in my local LGBT community, and I love makeup and computers.

    I've been growing my hair out since about 2014 when I cut off my hip-length dreadlocks.
    My 3c hair is APL when dry/curled and BSL/WL when straightened or wet.

    I looked through the LHC forums when I started trying to care for my hair in 2014, and I've referred to the forums intermittently ever since.
    I decided against registering at the time because the forums didn't have a significantly visible natural hair contingent at the time.
    When I visited to find an at-home haircutting guide for one of my long-haired friends, I checked the curly chat for the first time in awhile and noticed the activity. After that, I thought about how my growth feels like it's plateaued for the past few weeks, and how bored I am with the same handful of end-protecting braids and styles - so I took the plunge and registered.

    Looking forward to learning new ways to care for my hair and befriending people with similar interests.

    Hello and welcome! I used to live in America, and it sounds like you have fun hobbies and interests!

    Hip length dreadlocks are a definite look. I was seeing a girl with that same hairstyle but unfortunately it didn't work out

    I have nearly pin straight hair that couldn't hold a wave for if it tried, but there is a great blog I read on hair care tips. She focuses it around curly hair but I have found many a gem there.
