    Default Hi all

I've been lurking for a few months but just wanted to introduce myself. I've always had "edgy" hair starting with manic panic in high school. Then I got into henna and then indigo . Of course, my hair got way too dark and when I tried to bleach it out, turned swamp green. Maybe someday I'll find pictures. That resulted in an extremely short pixie/buzzcut that I've been growing for several years. After having a bunch of different pixies and bobs, more fun colors and henna experiments, I'm trying to get off the cut/bleach/dye roller coaster and focus on just growing my hair. Right now it's juuuust at BSL, which is a major milestone and the longest I've had it since middle school!

So anyway, hi, you all are totally inspiring.

    Welcome!

When I first got here, I did dye after dye, also chemical, henna/indigo, bleached it, turned green, all of it; been there, done that. It's only in the last 5-10 years that I've been natural, and dye free. Yes I had a bleach/dye accident where I burned my scalp and needed a special doctor prescribed cortisone lotion. Never doing that again.

I'm going gray here and there, but I'm not dyeing my hair again if I can help it.

    Hi from another past-lurker.

I’ve always wanted to experiment with green hair, but I’m not sure that’s the way to do it! All the best as you continue to grow it out!
