I'd love to do this. Perhaps if enough Europeans are interested we could match with each other to minimise average shipping cost? But I'll defer to those with more swap experience!

What's happened in other swaps is that people post where they're willing to ship to and are matched accordingly. It usually works fairly well. Plus, if we mostly buy them online, then you can buy them from a site that your giftee is from. That could also cut costs.

So, I have a few questions for this interested

1) Should we limited it to one pair or socks? Two pairs?

2) Should there be a min/max cost?

3) What sort of time frame?

Thanks all. This is my first time organizing a swap so feel free to add any other rules etc that we may need.

I am very interested, especially if there is the option to ship directly from an online shop. Mail out of Japan (but not into) is still heavily restricted with some countries only being by boat and some countries still 100% blocked. Although countries that are 100% blocked I can still receive mail from (the list doesn’t make much sense when you look at what can come in...).

1) I don’t know, good question. I think two, but a case can be made for one

2) Let’s do max, cause I don’t want or need expensive socks

3) A mail out deadline I presume? Before Thanksgiving? Or is that too fast? Mid December?

I've been mostly lurking on the site for the past 2 years due to a ton of major life changes and medical complications on top but YES please do a sock swap!!! I'd sooo be in!

I'm totally fine with 2 pairs mailing anywhere. December would be a good mailing deadline.

So, from now until the end of December for the sock swap with 2 pairs of socks? Say no more than $25 per pair? I"m thinking people can sign up until Nov 10th. Does that work for everyone? I'm also thinking of maybe making a new thread just to keep things cleaner (instead of using this one).
