What is the longest you've gone without washing your hair?

About a week for me. It is past time to wash by then. I normally do every 4th or 5th day.

I tried no-poo (and not washing at all) once, many years ago, and I lasted about a month. Not going to do that again.

When I was having my hair regularly straightened, I went a month between washes. I didn't even get my hair wet inbetween salon visits. I have no idea how I managed, except that I used a tonne of olive oil sheen. But my hair was always greasy and had flakes.

When I went natural over a decade ago, I cowashed a lot at first, and unintentionally would do WO/CO for 6 month stretches before using shampoo.

Since the pandemic, and taking the time to properly learn about hair and scalpcare, I'm at 1-2 shampoos per week, and my hair and scalp are SOOOO much happier.

something like 4 or 5 months.. it was a rough time and hair and self care in general weren’t at the top of my priorities
now I usually wash every other week or every week, depending how my hair is feeling.

I went through a major funk in middle school where I didn't wash or sometimes even brush my hair for weeks at a time. This was after spending the previous 8 or 9 years being completely responsible for my own haircare. I remember one of the teachers making fun of me for it, I guess to motivate me to do something about it. I can't imagine how she thought that was going to help. I mean, really??

Since covid I've been averaging about once a week. I've done scalp only washes three times since joining the LHC, so it's been about two weeks since I washed the ends and it's been nice not having to fuss with it.

I have done two weeks a couple times. If it didn't seem greasy enough to need washing at the end of the first week, laziness has taken it to the end of the second. But I don't remember longer times than that

I'm not sure how long it's been since I actually washed my length. NW/SO is my routine, although for me that can include a scalp rinse while I'm in the shower. The length is in a top-knot covered by a plastic bag, so it's not been wet in ages.

I used to worry about scent, but that problem went away (why???) and if I want a fancy scent I'm happy to put a dab of perfume on my finger and run that down the length, leaving my hair down for a while so the strong smell can dissipate a bit.

4 days on a camping trip, at a time when I washed daily. Now, I usually wash every other day, but occasionally add a day (as long as I don't have to leave the house). My fine, low-porosity hair likes washing!
