Thread: Greetings from a chronic diy hair cutter

Default Greetings from a chronic diy hair cutter

Hi everyone! I've been lurking here on and off for a few years, made an account and then went back to just lurking. Now I've finally decided to get over my posting apprehension and introduce myself!

Currently, my hair is just past BSL but at many different lengths because I am a chronic hair cutter. Basically anytime I have an emotional upheaval, change jobs or just feel bored I cut my hair. Most of the time its just little trims but sometimes I really get into it and cut thick bangs (I guess I never truly got over my Zooey Deschanel phase in high school) or attempt diy layers. So now after being frustrated with all the layers poking out of my braids, I've decided to grow my hair to waist length (a length I've always loved) with just a simple u shape.

I'm looking forward to posting more on here and taking better care of my hair!

    Hello and welcome, Etheldreda.

You say you are a chronic hair cutter so perhaps this thread will be of some interest to you. It deals with the emotional side of why we cut back when, in fact, we really don't want to. It is always nice to have others to talk to.
