    Default Why hello there!

    Hi! I am a 16 year old girl looking to grow my hair as long as possible!

    2.5 ago I cut my hair to chin length, as I've always had hair that is difficult to deal with. I'm mixed (half native Hawaiian, half Ashkenazi Jewish) and my hair reflects it, I manage to have a combination of wiry, curly, corse hair and wavy or straight sleek, thick hair. Because of this my family never really found out how to take care of my hair, so as a little kid I had it short or in braids all the time.I have autism, so I also struggled with the sensory factor of hair care. However, after cutting my hair super short and regretting it, I started getting interest in taking care of my hair.

    I'm now a couple inches away from WL, and I'm so happy with my progress! I do have some damage from box dyeing my hair for the past year or so, I'm working on growing it out and eventually cutting off the damage (curse you COVID, and curse the dumb people in my town who didn't take it seriously!).

    I'm so excited to be here, and I'm looking forward to learning new hairstyles, DIYs, and talking to all of you guys!

    It's nice to meet you! Your hair sounds beautiful even if it's a bit tricky to manage sometimes. I'm growing out several years of dyeing and bleaching so I feel you on that front haha, I hope you have a wonderful timem on the forums
