This isn't really a product but I have to plug OverTheHawaiianMoon on Etsy. When I got to about waist all the elastics and scrunchies in the world couldn't hold my hair--I bought an ebony conical from this shop and I loved it so much I have a whole collection now. The aluminum ones slip out for me but as long as I do the bun well, they will stay the whole day (10+ hours) with one stick. Probably the only thing other than my brush that I haven't changed in my hair routine for years.

I finally got my hair care routine to a minimal amount of very good quality products. Here they are:

Desert Essence Coconut Shampoo
Desert Essence Curl Cream (while I do have 2b/2c hair, I use this not so much for curls as for a leave-in conditioner to protect my ends - it's fantastic!)
NOW brand 100% organic argan oil
Homemade dry shampoo (arrowroot powder with a few drops of pure lavender oil)

Well, my hair is long for many decades and If something like a Holy Grail exists and it is not cheese then for me it must be olive oil.

Nightblooming's shampoo and conditioner bars for sure are my big ones. My leave-ins are always subject to change.

I tried to wash my hair with my old clarifying shampoo just to see what would happen... It was a complete poofy mess that I had to heavily oil and bun, it looked horrible.

But as soon as my next wash came up, I used the NB bars again and the difference was dramatic, my hair loves this stuff
