I live in the Bahamas, where it's super humid. But I travel between the U.S. (various) and Jamaica for school.
I buy all my products online.

    Type 4/Fine-Medium Strands/High Density/Concerns: Moisture + frizz/reversion (shrinkage)

Sabino Moisture Block - a thick cone serum for anti-reversion/frizz. This works in 80% humidity in the Bahamas. You only use a tiny bit.
Hydroquench Systems Greaseless Moisture - an amazing leave in conditioner and daily moisturizer without glycerin.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Extreme - a pre shampoo mosturizing treatment that leaves my hair weighed down. I need this because my type 4 hair has intense shrinkage.
    - Note: this works even better when paired with other items from his 'Afro-Caribbean' line
My Honey Child Type 4 Hair Cream - a very thick butter-based styling cream that is whipped soft. Ideal for long term or winter sealing.

You know, I don't have anything that has hit HG status just yet. I know I'm on the right track with ROO, but I don't know if my oil blend is THE one yet.

I also think cowashing is the way to go for me, but I'm not sure I have found my HG conditioner as of yet.

I DO know, though, that I adore my Widu brush. Absolutely adore it.

    ACV
    Honey
and it looks like fermented rice water might be making the list.

Other than that, I'm not stuck on any particular thing. I'm a hair minimalist.

I also love Coconut oil and EVOO... just keepin' it simple. Every time I have tried something new, I get disappointed, end up with more tangles and frizz, so I stocked up on the Kirkland Conditioner and C Oil and Evoo. Done. Someone once told me, an LHer, that if you can't eat it don't put it on your hair. I have tried just about every leave -in haircream/conditioner out there and they all made my hair feel like it's glued and tangled. Guess I have learned the hard way! Plus, my hair is protein sensitive so I have to be careful about the ingredients, and even use the C oil infrequently. Yay for keepin' it simple! down below Islandgrrl called it being a "hair minimalist" yep!! I completely agree!

Alaffia - their African black soap shampoo is very gentle but still makes your scalp nice and clean. It's also cruelty free.
The Soap Works - Their bar soaps are extremely good quality, there's something for every skin type, and they have a large selection of vegan friendly bars! (most of the cheap soaps found in drug stores use "sodium tallowate" AKA processed cow fat as one of their main ingrediants.)
Alba Botanic - I really love their cruelty free conditioners!
Bohemian Alchemist - Their essential oils and body lotions are wonderful.
I just discovered Alaffia black soap for my skin and love it. But I haven't tried it on my hair yet.

I'm in the Virginia, USA. My HG's are Heritage Olive Oil (fragrance free) shampoo and conditioner. And Neem Oil....lots of Neem oil!
