From a short mohawk to waist length

Hi everyone! I am a lurker finally wanting to post. I had previously grown my shaved head for 3 years to waist length as virgin brown hair. Then I decided to dye it blue and it was fabulous. Unfortunately I was having hair problems from the local water where I lived being, let's say not so great. It felt like soot and gook was in my hair all the time and the water was slightly orange. Sulfates didn't make the residue go away, baking soda didn't. I eventually got fed up and shaved it on the sides into an undercut, then moved into a different neighborhood. I now have a short purple mohawk. I am now seeing the error of my ways, haha. I miss my long hair. I live where there is better water now, and have a shower filter to boot. I am really excited to start over. Especially because I will feel like I have a long term goal that I can slowly work toward and a new beginning (new divorcee.) Whether or not it will stay fun colors or be natural brown is uncertain as of yet.

welcome I too have shaved parts, I'm growing my side shave out I aim to get to floor in like 20 years, good luck with your journey as well!
