    Default Silver hair, natural care

As I stop doing henna glosses every month I worry how that will affect the state of my hair. I prefer to use no cones and as little as possible of the usual additives in modern hair care products.

How do you ladies keep your silver locks healthy and shiny by means of natural remedies?

Just few tinsels here, buy i was also a henna-head... And much addicted to the shine and softness It gave me.

And yet, I discovered that my hair Is actually naturally soft and shiny, if I don't work against its texture (embrace the waves). Henna was not what was making it pretty!

I'm sure your silvers will be gorgeous!

I hope so, but it will be a stuggle growing it out without resorting to henna again. It feels like a big transition, even if my hair isn´t all that white yet. Also the white hairs are rumoured to give one´s hair a different texture. I´m afraid... LOL

Like yours my hair was naturally soft and shiny before I started doing henna. I´m hoping it will continue into old age.

My silvers are all on the top coat of my hair. I’ve naturally got fairly coarse hair but the silvers are certainly coarser.
Like you I prefer natural hair care as silicones work against me and dry my hair out. I usually condition my ends everyday with a bit of oil and conditioner..

Great tip, thank you. I will be more diligent with oils from now on. From experience I have to be very careful with the amount of oil though. One small drop is usually plenty.

I seem to be getting a cruella de ville - ish pattern.

I just use diluted shampoos, moisturising conditioners and a bit of oil from time to time, and gentle care, always.

Thank you. I definitely need to start taking better care of my locks again. Your hair is super pretty, Sarahlabyrinth!

I watch MrKongsMom here on YT. She has a shorter bob, and is fully gray. I watch her a lot because I love her personality and vibrancy. But she often talks about how her grays need extra hydration. I don't think her texture changed, but the hair does need more hydration (the lengths of it).

As far as my grays (whites) go, they are even more fine than my F hair already is. Same texture, and I'm glad for that!

I too have read grays and silvers need more hydration. Perhaps some hydrating hair treatment once a month to replace the henna?

My silvers look and feel more wiry when they are new and short. The longer ones seem to have the same texture as the dark hairs. So far.
