A mans hair could be 20 miles long, and he can still worship the lord if he wants to.
It is my belief that a deity will not judge him on that regard.
Only his fellow earthy inhabitants will.

I chose BSL (bottom of shoulder blade) as the start of "long" on men for me, perhaps the fact that my husband's hair is mid-back length has something to do with it. I don't consider chin-length or shoulder-length to be all that long on a man.

I voted APL because it was a common length on guys in the rock/metal scene in my late teens/early 20's even though most people where I live consider 'long hair' on a guy to start at chin length or shorter lol. Also I dated a guy who was 6'3 at least and had APL hair that was verging on the same length as my BSL hair at the time. Turns out height makes a difference!

Height and body proportions makes a huge difference! Collarbone length looks way longer on me than most people I know because it IS, I have a very long neck and torso compared to the rest of my body!
I don't even get fingertip length as a milestone marker because it's the exact same length as classic on me.

Picked the wrong option but around waist length regardless of gender.

I think shoulder length is long for a guy.

Where I live, it's still very rare to see guys with long hair, or even shaggy hair! As such, my views have been shaped by my environment and so when I see a guy with hair that's flowing around their cheekbones and chin, I do consider it long. Not LONG long, but long enough!

Shoulder that is long for a guy, from my point of view.

I know most guys consider long to be somewhere just around shoulder or before. Which is really really short to me. But that's what we get for living in a society where fades and short short cuts are the norm for guys. It's hard to get good inspiration when "long haired guys" searching returns chin length and shoulder length images. LOL

I know that when I see another guy with hair around APL or MBL, I start thinking "that's getting there".

And then I have my own self image where I consider my own MBL hair to be short, but really it's "not long enough". I could be somewhere between knee and floor and still be thinking that it's not that long.

I'm sure there are people who see me and think "he's got really long hair!"

EDIT: I went back and read the thread, and it's interesting to see the perspectives of what LHC considers long on a guy.

Try it and see if you still think so! It's long.
