Me too! That's why I tie the scarf around the pillow...

I don't usually do anything for my hair as far as protective sleep styles go. If it tangled more than the little it does, I'd be quick to do so.

I bundle my hair up into some form of topknot, and I use a satin pillow case.

Another option is needed for the poll “sometimes”.

Sometimes I sleep with it loose piled above my pillow. This works ok til my OH traps it under his arm.

Sometimes I put it in a braid bun on top of my head. Neat and curly wurly next day.

Sometimes a loose bun in scrunchie.

Sometimes I brush it all forward and stuff it loose into a microfibre Buff (neck gaitor) then tie the top corners to enclose it. Tall hair! This results in perfect tangle-free volume hair the next morning. Unfortunately however it is THE least attractive version for sleeping with a significant other, but he’s used to my Marge Simpson hair now *shrugs*

Usually I do one or two braids, but I don't like the way my ends look the next day; straight spaghetti ends under lovely braid waves. I toss and turn SO much; sometimes I sleep with it loose but it ends up strangling me in my sleep and/or tangled next day. I'm at the point where I need a new solution. Buns at the top of my head tend to pull no matter which position I sleep in. Following for more ideas...

I don't wear protective styles. For the moment my hair is too short and I can't even put it in a low pony, but I've been thinking about purchasing a silk scarf to cover my head for the night.

Been doing protective styles to bed since I was like 11. A hair dresser at the time advised me to do so because I struggled so much with severe tangling and it's been a life saver since

I've tried the braids thing before but I never noticed much difference. My hair isn't all that tangly, thankfully.

I LOVE sleeping with my hair down. Sleeping with my hair up in a bun/ braid and when I had a pixie cut / bob, made me uncomfortable. I need hair around my neck to sleep well. My length goal is waist/hip, but I'm willing to give up on that if at some point I can't wear my hair down while I sleep anymore. But I guess I almost always wear my hair down or half up so that's just my thing.

I typically sleep in a "pineapple". A soft scrunchy to ponytail on top of head loosely, only wrap once or twice. Not sure if this is considered protective or not but it works for me. Ive own silk scarfs and bonnets and I do use them but not often.
