    Default Fancy Combs?

They look a lot like African Butterflies, but far more my style with the metallics:

Anyone buy any of these? I wonder if they would work for hair as thick as mine. I can see it being awesome to place over a folded braid.

I have the plastic ones and the metallic ones (one of each), and they both just "flop" out of my hair. I mean I can get the one "leg" in, then when I flip it over to insert the second "leg", it flops right on out. And it keeps happening, no matter the updo. Preferred style = log roll with these, but. Nope.

I'd rather just clip a Ficcare or Flexi-8 over it. I think a Flexi would be a better bet altogether!

I think if your hair is soft and easily compressed, they might work. My hair is not thick, but very strong and "springy". These combs didn't work for me at all because they just get pushed out. Plus they pull the sides of your hair a lot. Whoever invented those must have light, fluffy hair.
