    Default Right to be forgotten

This forum needs a Delete account button that will also delete the account's posts with it.

Especially when someone wants to part away from the community they should be able to do it gracefully taking their history with them.

Or not even button but instructions to e-mail somewhere or something disclaimersy to say like ha ha ha "we own all your posts now deal with it"

I had no idea that was the case, but I'm sure it's written in privacy policy or other thing you had to check before registering...

Just go and delete everything in your posts if you're so bothered... There is an "edit" button.

    I don't think that's allowed.

If OP wants to leave anyway i don't see why it would be a problem for them.

I think it makes old threads less valuable when you can’t follow the thread of conversation because posts are missing.

YOLO I think you might need to take a sec to relax... and please note that if I think you need to calm down then there's probably a problem.

And somehow sometimes deleted things creep back up because the mods can drag it out of the deep black hole of forgotten stuff.

Like others have said, the fact that you can't delete all your posts helps keep thread continuity. Since it's a one account per lifetime rule here at LHC, I think it also stops people from rage quitting and later regretting it.

Oh, does this have to do with the new internet privacy standards? I do appreciate the motivation behind them. I'm not personally concerned with LHC, but I do advocate for sites supporting features like "right to be forgotten".
