Red face Hello! New Poster, Long time Lurker

Hi! I've been a long time viewer of this site/forum but have never actually made a profile!

I feel like my hair journey is pretty boring. When I was 13-16 my hair was about collarbone length and a ton of crazy colors (black and red, purple, blue, green) and as a natural brunette/dishwater blonde, even though I never ever ever used heat or styling products, the semi-frequent bleaching was really starting to get obvious. So with my last dye (a deep teal), I cut it to a chin length bob, and never dyed it again. Now, after many haircuts, it's four years later and my hair is totally back to it's virgin color, and getting very long. When worn brushed out down my back it is around tailbone length, although with a definite tapered shape due to years of grown out layering, and when it's worn pulled over my shoulders it is about an inch from the tops of my thighs. I have a ton of different textures in my hair, some bits are pin straight, most is loose waves, and a few bunches under my ears are tight corkscrew curls.

My hair routine varies a lot, I am currently using a few Briogeo products because on top of suffering from oily roots and dry ends, I have struggled with brutal dandruff since I was a child. Although I long to be able to cut down my routine/go the all natural route (my mother has been washing her hair for years using the baking soda and vinegar technique) all that has ever done is leave my hair brittle, tangled, and absolutely riddled with dandruff. Alas, I am still trying to find a routine that perfectly suits me, and I am looking forward to learning more!

    Welcome to the forum!

Yep, definitely don't do baking soda, it is much too harsh / alkaline on the hair!
WCC method (washing) --- Rinse-out oil (MO) --- LOC/LCO method (styling)

Howdy, nice to meet you! The mix of textures sounds very similar to mine, lol--curls on the short bits/ends and waves on the lengths.
