That reminds me, I must buy some more sweet potatoes
JESUS, MY LORD AND SAVIOUR
I think you should focus on a well-rounded diet rather than targeting specific vitamins and nutrients. If your body gets all its nutrients hair will grow (That being said, Biotin and Silica are often promoted for hair growth, better skin and nails. I've no personal opinion on them though.)
I'd go for a proper amount of protein in relation to your body weight (and goals), good carbs and fibre, lots of veggies and fruits in all sorts of colours. Some good fats like the aforementioned avocado, flaxseed oil, olive oil, etc.
I eat a good variety of fruits and vegetables, and have one meal including meat or fish daily. I also eat nuts, cheese and eggs. That seems to do the trick!
JESUS, MY LORD AND SAVIOUR
Lots of nuts especially walnuts and cashews, avocados and fruits in general like mango and apples, dark green veggies like spinach and broccoli, different kinds of fish including salmon and trout, and lots of water. You might be surprised to hear this but ever since I’ve started drinking the aloe Vera drink my hair has been really nice.
Yes, a balanced and varied diet will provide all the nutrients your hair needs.
Also, I think it's difficult to boost your hair growth beyond what you get with a good overall diet, but then there are people around who have experienced growth boosts with Biotin or Silica or *insert supplement here*, or a diet focused on specifically on a few vitamins, or whatever. So. It might work for you? But I personally wouldn't recommend it since it seems largely anecdotal to me.
