How do you hold scissors for S&D?

I'm not sure there are so many ways to hold scissors.

Unless you want the "resting position" as is shown on the image. But, if you're not a pro at handling scissors, I would not recommend unless you want to cut yourself, and hair shears are *sharp*, mine are razorsharp, I nicked myself once. Oh boy!

I just bought those same scissors, used them for S&D twice, and then my brother "borrowed" them to cut wrapping paper!

Once is not going to kill them! Don't believe that. It is constant "other" use. Just get them away from him and hide them.
