Hi guys! Thank you all so much for the suggestions! There's some really great stuff here!
I'll have to pick up some spin pins, start playing around more with double buns and see if I can make any of the creative scrunchi ideas work for me!
This one looks rather large:

Too bad this one is already sold: https://www.etsy.com/listing/5735776...d_out_detail=1

Eresh thank you so much for taking a look around for me! Unfortunately, most of those just seem long and not wide and the ones that do look wider don't look wider than the ones that I have already that aren't wide enough.
I'm seriously considering getting this it's expensive but according to my measurements it's larger than anything that I currently have and I might be able to use it when my layers grow out.
hmmmm...... I wonder... there is a builder's shop that everyone at uni has access to and there is a 3d printer there. I wonder if I could just print a huge clip. It might be a cheap way to fix the issue.
Hm, I wonder if a Ficcare would work to hold buns better for you? This one is actually less expensive than the clip you linked: https://www.ficcare.com/product-page...s-matte-finish and come to think of it, has a kind of minimalist modern look to it. They come in all sorts of different sizes and colors. I've not actually used one myself so I can't advise on sizing, but they're pretty popular around LHC it seems.
Just as an additional suggestion to everything else already mentioned. ETA: if you hunt around you might be able to find an imitation Ficcare/fakkare for less $.
waist / hip / tailbone / classic / fingertip / knee / calf? / ankle? / floor? / terminal??
knee by 2021?
Wow 50 dollars for a plastic clip?
I would then also go for the Large Ficcare.
(I saw some Original Ficcares on Ebay recently, size L, I think they were 35 dollars??)
I don't know if you have ever tried a Flexi from LillaRose?
They have a big XXL size too :-)
And lots of pretty designs to choose from.

You can see pics in the LillaRose topic and get size info/tips.

Unfortunately, I have that clip and although it's completely my style (I love gold and minimalist stuff) but wearing it really hurts... like a lot. Considering how much it hurts my head I really don't get the ficcare fan fare. I guess maybe I have a sensitive head?
I'd try Lila Rose but almost everything they have is covered in rhinestones and cutesy stuff. I know a lot of people love them because of that but I'm really not into rhinestony stuff. I have looked at their leather ones a few times and I think they look nice but from what I understand the leather ones are a lot smaller.

Here are two of their basic designs :-)
They have them in 3 or 4 colours (rose, gold, silver, copper)

I have not tried the leathers myself, you might have to get the biggest size.
There are a few ladies that use the leathers in the Flexi/LillaRose topic, you could ask them about the sizing.
