I really like the pink ones! If I really psycho-analyse myself it's probably because I have a rather "manly" day job and my hair hobby represents my feminine side... heh.

Anyway, TT got back to me about the Wet Detangler vs Fine & Fragile situation. I didn't really get a good response, the person who answered "guessed" that I was "probably" correct that the longer bristles made the Wet Detangler seem more flexible, so, she didn't really know for sure is my interpretation. Oh well.

I kinda want to get a Fine & Fragile anyway. Eeek.

I got the mint one too! That's partly why I ordered directly from TT, pink seems much easier to find but I liked the mint better.

It might take forever to get to me (do they have stock that ships from the States?) but oh well I'm in no rush.

I did order it just now... le sigh. Oh well I had to throw out one of my brushes the other day so if it doesn't work out great it can always be my backup... But I have high hopes!

eadwine, if you want to really feel something that "pulls" at the scalp, try a Denman. On second thought, you probably don't want to experience that mess!

Has anyone compared a Tangle Teezer to those macaroon brushes they sell on amazon? I use one and it has flexy bristles but comes with a cap for travel so I'm wondering if it's worth trying the TT also.

Just an impression after a few days of use. It is indeed more gentle than the salon elite, you can really notice the difference in the thickness of the tines and how that feels. But I do have to say.. I think I am smack in the middle of ii, using the thing when you have more hair than I do could be annoying

I wish it was a bit bigger so it held in my hand like the salon elite. Also surface wise. The salon elite covers "more ground" so to speak with each brush stroke.

I'm glad it has its good points, eadwine! I think I'll stick to my original, though.

It would be awesome for my mom, I think? She's i and has babyfine hair, especially in front where there is some breakage visible. I might have to buy it for her. I am going to keep that in mind should I see it pop up. But, my mom's hair really needs a handle on the brush, so there's that. I would love to see a design on this much like the "wet detangler". She would *love* that!

Thank you *so* much for the review, it's totally helpful!

Well.. I would ask your mom what she wants

If she is fine with what she is using now I would leave it.

Oh, eadwine, she doesn't mind. I have lots of things that I bought with my mom in mind, and then I say to her, "look mom, you can use this this way and that way, it's good for colored hair, thin hair, what have you", and then she just goes with it. She always looks to me for advice and tools... and products.

It's awesome that way. I feel useful and she's happy.
