Site Disruptions

Lots of connection issues today.....503 errors.....page timed out....server busy...data errors

I spent most of the afternoon just trying to get in..... only to lose the connection while navigating the forum once I did get in

Is there work being done behind the scenes....or work that needs to be done

I expect I was not alone in this situation

*This is the first time in many hours when I could actually view threads and post

I had problems too. I'm happy everything seems to be stable now.

I've had issues too. I've had these very occasionally in the past too, and when they happen it seems to be in spurts.

Never realized how much I browse this site until it goes down and I'm just sitting here refreshing...

Pretty sure the refreshing only prevents the server from flushing any excessive load so *eventually* I pulled myself away.

An hour after I posted it went back down again for another 90+ minutes; I finally gave up checking and watched TV for the evening

Same here! I ended up doing other things to occupy my time but I certainly missed the site!

Yup....15 minutes later....it is slowing to a crawl with an eventual 503 error ...again.

It may be signalling it is time for me to take a forum break until this clears up

I got the 503 errors, server busy, and database errors this afternoon. The vBulletin software seems to be held together with the computer equivalent of rubber bands and duct tape.

Outages are rare, though. Kudos to the admins for keeping the board running!
