How long is long to you?

The term "long hair" is subjective.

At what length do you consider hair to be "long"?

To answer my own question: I tend to think that long hair is always just out of my reach. When my hair was APL I though of BSL as long. Then when my hair hit BSL MBL became long to me. Now that my hair is at MBL I think of waist length as long.

To me, anything from bra-strap going down is visually long. From collarbone to armpit is medium. Buzzed to bob is short.

Personally, I've had short hair most of my life, so I consider shoulder length pretty long. My hair is barely long enough to put in a ponytail, but I still feel like it's really long because I haven't had it this long in like six years

Waist is where I usually consider hair as being long. I almost chose hip length though, because on me I don’t consider waist as being long yet, but I’m not sure if I will think hip length will be long. But on other people I usually consider waist as being long.

I think of waist+ being long, but we'll see if I hold that same opinion once I reach that milestone.

When I grew out from chin, shoulder felt/looked long to me; now Hip feels long, and snipping back to waist + feels short.

On others waist + looks long to me.

I view between around waist as the beginning of "long" hair. Hip-tailbone length is fairly common where I live so that probably has an influence on my answer. I think it also depends on the person and their height, BSL on me isn't very long because I'm only 5'2 but BSL on others looks way more substantial.

In my experience I only felt like my hair was actually long once I reached Tailbone. Shorter than that is "medium" length to me. So I voted Tailbone on the poll.

However on other people, I think Waist seems long to me, but doesn't feel/look that way on me.

There's a couple of threads with this same question, I belive, and I still think classic is when -I- think it's long. For the general public around waist.
