I love my hair and always have, though I would happily lose the frizz, but I definitely have occasional hair envy when I see someone with longer hair than me. It is very rare now that I generally have the longest hair of those around me.
Rarely, if someone has their hair curled.
I can't curl my hair because it doesn't last long![]()

I absolutely get blonde envy (I would loveeee to not have to bleach my hair ever again), especially if they also happen to have long hair with an even hemline.
I know eventually I'll have the length and hemline (even if I want it now!!), but I would love to be a natural blonde.
lilmisslouise, maren.mermaid, and all.about.my.hair on IG each have variations on the hair I want. I can't imagine what it feels like to have color that bright without having to do anything to it.
long hair is self care ♡

Yes sometimes I do.
...back to my natural hair color...
It is mostly admiration for me too. But I won't lie sometimes I do get a little envious. But it's not a strong sense of envy that brings down my mood though.
Sometimes it's length. Sometimes it's hair texture. I have always wanted curly hair, now I have waves but they often fall out, especially now my hair is longer and heavier and I'm wearing a lot of updos. I have been having trouble with my hair being dry and frizzy, but when I oil it it gets too weighed down and oily, and then I'm still somehow frizzy at the same time... So I get envious when other people's hair looks shiney and wavy and frizz free because I have tried so hard to get my hair to look like that but it's not cooperating
But now I'm thinking of myself as being on a hair journey and I think more in terms of "my hair doesn't look like theirs yet but it could someday" and that really helps the envy![]()
Often!! I went to get an eye exam recently and the woman helping me had lovely brown hair to her mid-back and I was trying not to stare and be jealous.
oups....as a frenchy I misinterpreted the word envy : I did not understand jealousy but desireso wrong vote ! yep I've always had changing desires for my hair (I want henna red...I want golden blond....no more ashy tones......I want to be a brunette, I want short hair, I want fairy tale ends....) Well....
I recently had my hair cut way shorter than I wanted- it’s a little shorter than it was when I first decided to try and get it as long as I could- so now I’m looking enviously at my own pre-cut hair photos
