I'm getting pop-ups, too, and I have a pop-up blocker.
I'm glad it's not just me. These are so excessive. I really hope this isn't the new normal.
I am a member of another chat forum but I don't go there often. I checked in there today and I'm getting the same issue.

In the last hour and a half I started to get ones that were blocking my ability to read people's text.

I typically don't use an Adblocker... I know that often ads help sites I love keep running but I caved and installed Adbock Plus. Now, I'm back to not having ads.

Yeah I just got another one that took up the whole screen with no 'X' to click on to close it.

I've also had an ad that takes up the whole screen when I was trying to open a thread. Happened thrice now. And of course ads at the top of the forum, on the middle of posts and some really big ones at the very bottom. I'm using Chrome as well.

I suppose it's time I download my trusty UC Browser on this phone...

I'm not even going to attempt to shut off my ad blocker.

I am just wondering why not everyone is using this on today's internet? Can I ask, you guys? I mean... It's so easy to do and you won't get these ads anymore.

I don't use adblockers because I like free content, and the ads help pay the bills for the site creators. I want to help the creators earn money in exchange for letting me enjoy their content.
