No option to add photos to albums

I'm trying to upload my first photos to an album and it's not working

no error message, I just select the file from my computer, click 'upload', and nothing happens??? I've checked the size of the file, and it fits the limits allowed, so I don't understand what's going on

edit: I'm using Google Chrome, and the images are in jpeg format

That happens to me sometimes. Then it works again after awhile...
