Tack! I lived in Sweden a number of years-Gothenburg. Beautiful country.

Thanks! yes since I've started growing my hair I've been keeping it in one of those spiral ponytail holders-the ones that look like telephone cord and it seems to help and seems to prevent kinks and breakage more than a regular ponytail holder. My hair is not long enough yet to pile it up or plait.
I used to use a vinegar rinse but it didn't agree with my hair. Was too drying. Since moving back to Ireland I don't have a hard water problem anymore as the local water supply is quite soft. Much more so than on the continent. Which is great because it doesn't tangle so easily!
Yes I'll have a search in that section, thanks.

Oh gosh, now I see Marc Bolan lol I didn't until you mentioned it and I made the photo bigger

I have to delve more into the archives, thanks for the links. Yeah that makes sense to make changes slowly. Yes you're right, if I put too much conditioner on it just weighs down my hair so I leave it at the ends only.

I bought a got2b hair oil last week containing argan and I put a few drops on the ends after I finish washing and my hair seems to like it. It's a dry oil. Has a bit too much perfume but good to start off with anyway and it's only a tiny bottle.

I have a problem sometimes getting all the oil out of my hair when I wash so I'd be nervous about adding more in the shower!

Yes castor is a very heavy viscous oil. I decided against adding it to my hair...too sticky.

I must try jojoba oil yep. Heard good things about it.

Ok I'll ask about the Whamisa tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

Thanks everyone else for the warm welcomes, and sorry for going AWOL since I posted initially. Busy time for me here but I'll do my best to post more.

Food oil right from your pantry are good to experiment with as if they work well for your hair it is usually far less costly than oils marketed for hair, and less perfume! I am also just logging on after a couple weeks being AWOL, we understand that life happens
