Hello and welcome!
I am new to this community and excited to learn more about what it takes to grow and maintain beautiful, shiny, heathy looking, long hair. I can tell you that I have only recently become interested in my hair and I think that has to do with my frustration in being able to grow it longer. I didn’t connect the dots until I hit 50 that dying my gray was causing the issue. I just never occurred to me! Duh!!
Once I realized this, I switched to henna. This was easy because I have some red in my brownish-blonde hair, and my teenage daughter is a redhead. Since the first time I dyed my hair with henna (a 75% henna, 25% indigo combination), my hair has never looked or felt better! After about 2 years of this, all my damaged hair has been trimmed off and my hair looks better then I ever imagined it would look. It’s now midway down my back, and my husband says the shine and length makes me look 15 years younger.
I am going for classic length but will be happy with tailbone. I can’t wait to see pictures of everyone’s beautiful long hair. They really inspire me!
