Underweight, I'm 5'3 (160 cm) and my weight is 94/95 lbs (42/43 kg). My weight should be at least 106 lbs (48 kg). But my hair structure, since when my weight was higher, was exactly the same, nothing never changes

I used to be underweight all my life, even after giving birth to four children. Now, after 40, something changed and I gained a bit more weight than I would have wanted. I'm still "normal" according to BMI but I feel fat so I'm trying to diet. I'm 165 cm and 59-60 kg.

About 5'5" (or 165 in cm) short and weighing (last time I've stepped on any scales) roughly 9 st (or 57 kg) - fairly normal weight I guess, albeit a bit on the slim side. Used to weigh a bit less than 8 st at my lowest and 10 at my highest though.

I have noticed that women on the chubbier side have stronger hair. I think this is because extra body fat increases estrogen production which in turn makes you grow more hair. It could also be that if someone consumes an excessive amount of food they will get enough of the nutrients required to grow hair though I'm not sure how critical a difference it would make

I'm at the high range of normal. I could stand to lose a bit.

    Hurray! I've reached waist-land! Last trim 1-2-23.

I'm at my comfortable weight, which is between 60 & 65 kg for a length of 1.70m. Technically I am "overweight" according to regular standards. Our old internist used to say your length substract 10 and that's your ideal healthy weight, so for me that's 60kg; feel better at 65 though!

When I answered in 2019 I weighed 125lb. I now weigh 133lb. My hair is much thinner now than it was back then :c Barely 2 inches circumference whereas I was rocking a solid 3. I wish I could get my thickness back but looking at my parents' thinning hair I'm thinking maybe it's time to stop dreaming, I'm 26, my hair isn't going to get thicker again.

I'm 1.58cm tall and weigh 52.2kg currently, when I joined LHC in June 2022, I was a little bit over 60kg, I had gained a lot of weight during five hospitalizations helping my dad fight cancer, so I was plagued by stress eating, sleep deprivation, and hormonal imbalance, which caused my big shed.

So basically I dropped 7-8 kg in the meantime by working out intensely for an hour a day, six days a week, every day I drink 2-3L of water and have protein-heavy meals, abundant fruit, and vegetables, with a dozen of supplements. I hired a nutritionist for my meal plan. But I still have some sleeping problems as my work is not very stable, and now I'm between jobs again, what a bummer.

Healthwise, my periods are regular, my skin is glowing, and my nails are growing crazy. I reclaimed 1cm of pony circumference over the past six months, and now I have a 10cm high pony, and that's the only thing I'm glad to gain.

I am trying to hit 50kg by the end of this year, but it's getting harder and harder as the weather gets colder, and it's difficult to balance the muscle mass I want to shape and the fat I want to burn as a person with a long torso and short legs dipping into bodybuilding so my body type is never ideal.

You might consider I'm "normal", but I think until I am 43kg, I will always consider myself overweight, where I grew up, we have a very strict, almost toxic standard when it comes to female body image - "no matter your height, if you're over 50kg, you're fat" - and it's deeply rooted in my mind, though I am trying to be a little bit better than yesterday me every day.

My top 2023 resolution is to love myself first, then my hair.

Oooh I do think I noticed that when I eat 'fat', not the leafy healthy stuff, my hair is growing faster.

@tuanyi: I'm really shocked by this rule of over 40 kg = overweight.
