Would amla add any more wave to my 1b/1c hair?
It's gradually developing more wave as it grows out. I'd like to see a little more.
15 years ago it was 1a. My short hair even popped out of perm rods!

I don't know about amla; you could give it a go. Let us know how you fare. It is one oil / herb I have never ever used, so I can't give you any information, personal at least, on that.

This amla thread addresses a few questions. Several people said that amla did enhance their curl. I didn't realize it could be used alone! I will use some in my henna application which should finally happen next week.

You might already be aware, but henna can straighten the wave. I don’t know if that happens for everyone and whether it would happen with just one application, or with a a gloss (henna mixed with conditioner). It’s certainly common though.

I'm hoping that amla in the mix will counteract that tendency. I have the tiniest bit of wave, and don't want to lose it.
