I thought I saw some new ones yesterday. I thought I’d wait to see if the one I got works before getting more. I don’t crochet much these days. Too busy for most things like that. The moment I get to sit down in front of a tv I typically fall dead asleep. DH thinks it’s crazy but I work and then do housework. I’m exhausted at the end of most days.

I totally get it. You're speaking to a woman who just scrubbed the bathroom, washed the towels, and washed and ironed the shower curtains, and then ironed the new blackout bedroom curtains (and painted the silver grommets with gold stuff)!
But I must admit, that's not the norm for me. My thyroid biopsy is tomorrow, and I had a lot of nervous energy. It was either keep myself busy or eat ALL THE CHOCOLATE.
I hope the sticks I've ordered arrive by Friday. That would be a really nice boost to the week.

How many times have I eaten ALL THE CHOCOLATE? And yet there is still more.... Seriously, hope your biopsy turns out to be nothing.

FWIW, my sticks and hook came and I actually love the hook as a stick. It's a bit on the long side but these are so delicate that they don't give the ole helicopter-head impression. The fact that the fancy part goes down further makes it even more secure than a stick but I can still screw it out without a problem.

So, I may have gotten two more hooks.....

Imgur seems down right now. I will post a pic when it comes up.

Thanks, GG. Life keeps throwing interesting things my way. It was a challenging day, but I suspected it wouldnt be a "simple procedure". I followed my instincts and asked the doc for a single Valium to take in advance. That, plus ear buds playing spa music and the nurse holding my hand made it manageable. Now we just wait for the results, and DH and I are staying positive about what might lie ahead. In the meantime, HAIRTOYS. (And chocolate.)
Lunasea, that hook/stick is perfection on you! I love the color and design, and you're right. It's so delicate that it doesnt look too long!

OK, I am truly gob-smacked. The little red and green spiral one is REALLY little, and I'll have to shorten the super long ones....but they are all gorgeous and I can hardly believe it!! I hadn't expected to like all of them. The fork is perfect, too. A happy quandary for someone who has been downsizing...
