I just came out here to share the good news that I stumbled across some Graydogs on Etsy.....and you guys already knew!

Lunasea, I'm so sorry that your purchase didn't work out. I hope you tried again after the listings were fixed. A bunch of the ones I was interested in were already gone, but I ordered 6 hairsticks and a wee 2-prong fork that I think is also Graydog (too thick to be 60th St). One of the sticks I ordered is the one you mentioned, Milosmomma. The purchases seemed to go through. Fingers crossed - even if one one or two get to me, I'll be delighted. I have such a weak spot for Graydogs. No one has duplicated the feel of those sticks. AMadLife and DayStar were close.

As for altering crochet hooks - yes, it can be done. Two of my topped Graydog hairsticks were formerly crochet hooks.

I was thinking about you Willowyn. I actually didn't order any more. They are beautiful but my feeling was if I didn't order them in the first place, I wasn't going to get what I didn't want just because I didn't get the ones I wanted.

Ooo exciting Willowyn, I cant wait to see them! Which of the ones I mentioned did you get? The itty bitty or the wood with teal/aqua topper? Cant go wrong either way both were gorgeous

The one with the topper was already sold. I took a chance on the little one. The sale went through on the other ones, too, I think. I'm waiting for the seller to adjust the shipping.

Oo, I'm glad it will have a nice home! It sounds like they are having some issues but at least they are communicating and working to fix everything

I haven't heard anything since the first group of convos, but she probably has her hands full. I know how I feel when I do a swap board post and I have a bazillion little packages to sort out and ship.

I got a confirmation on 5 of the 6 and a refund for excess shipping. The rainbow one was not available, bit I was totally OK with that. And tonight she posted some longer sticks. Yes, I did indeed purchase a few more. I will have some tough choices to make when they're all here. Maybe. My inner dragon will want to keep them ALL.

My stick arrived today, safe and sound. I got a blue-green one that's a bit under 6".
