Everyone looks so lovely and elegant!

Here's my attempt. I need to remember this for summer. I don't even have any pins in.

This looks awesome I need to try it!!

I'm used to the amish wrapping their hair in a loose bun with a ponytail basethen covering it with a hairnet and pinning it down.

Amish braids, take 2. (Please kindly engore the greasy roots.) This time I started with standard dutch braids. The first picture I took this morning, the second one I took at the end of the day. I'm amazed by how well it stood up.

I stuck to the instructions for Amish braids rather than the Interlaced braids of which I am fond.

Messy, but it held all day. And since I can Dutch braid, I think Interlaced braids win in the end.

Mod hat off. Mod hat on. Don't make me wear the mod hat, it messes up my hair. *grin*

These are gorgeous. Such a pity I am so challenged at braiding my own hair. All I regularly do are english braids.
