I think it's normal. My right side has always been thicker than my left side. I don't know why
This may be a repeated question, but the curiousness remains even in short hair. It is normal for even short-haired people to have a thin side of their hair? My right side of hair is thinner and a tiny bit frizzy than the left side. I usually sleep on both sides, i dont know if that matters because short hair doesnt rub massively as long hair do. Besides, i cannot tie them back at all.

JESUS, MY LORD AND SAVIOUR
It could be.

It could be just how your hair grows. Hair is weird sometimes! But if you sleep on the same side that could probably cause it to thin out a little too, or if you otherwise have some sort of mechanical damage occuring to that side over time.
I have a thinner side but its the one that I sleep on most. I actually find that my short hair rubs worse then when it was longer
Sad truth is i cannot clearly define when my hair grows, due to that..damned curl shrinkage which actually made me cut my hair so short. I tend to usually sleep on the right side, yes. Mechanical damage? What do you mean? Like heat tools? I dont use anymore. Last time i used was 2 years ago.
It's very much normal. I have a side that has slightly less hair than the other half of the head. It is slight though, but it has nothing to do with which side you sleep on. It was a subject here a long time ago, but it is completely normal & nothing to worry about.
