Ok here is how it turned out after 3 days oxidation. Not a huge change on camera but in person its much warmer than before.

    Natural color for comparison

Yes it looks really pretty and like it would be an easy transition were you to grow it out for some reason.

Why do so many people think I made a mistake and now have to grow it all out? I was red for years but had to stop because box dyes gave me chemical burns. I strand tested carefully, bought all the reputable books on henna, bought the henna from a fellow member, prepared the mix very carefully and followed all the directions.
I'm happy with my hair and I finally don't look like a washed out zombie without makeup on.
Do most people really have so terrible a time of it that henna makes them cringe?

hahhahaha in my experience, the people like you (and me) that were long-time chemical redheads, read a lot, and strand test first? Virtually never have regrets.

It's the people who don't read, don't strand test, and who like changing their hair color every couple months that send me comments like "OMG this is PERMANENT???" I think that this is the type of person that makes the rest of us give lots of warnings and makes the % of those who regret hennaing seem greater than it really is.

My experiences with henna were far from stellar (and yes Nightshade I did strand test, and I did meticulously prepare but it changed the texture of my hair to dry & brittle). So that is where that comes from. Most people on this forum know that by now, I guess.
