    Yay...hope they hold for you

If buns slide out, maybe try and secure with claw clips until the hair is long enough for it not to slip out of a stick or fork.

It won't do you any good to have a bun that falls out with the slightest movement, either.

Buns hold fine, it's these specific sticks that slip down - they're a little heavier than regular sticks, and being smooth they tend to slide down. Using a tiny silicon hair tie as a washer to increase friction seems to be working, so fingers crossed that's the solution.

Oh OK, my bad; I misunderstood then.

I'm glad that it looks like you found your solution, though!

Oh, please so share if the rubber band trick works for you! I have the same exact sticks and they certainly are fussy things.

Actually a lot of my sticks have this problem... probably because I buy a bunch them all at the same place. But I can't help it they are so neat! I just bought a pair of Beauty and the Beast rose sticks. My hair is waist length and too slippery to wear my sticks in most of the time. I'm actually starting to get sad that I cannot wear what I want because my hair doesn't want to let my sticks stay in place. And these dead pool sticks don't seem to want to stay in either.

I did try the elastic band trick once on another slippery stick last week and ended up having to use my emergency hair tie that I wear around my wrist to keep my hair up less than an hour into work. After switching to CO washing with a cone free conditioner my hair has been super slippery. I've actually been contemplating using in some kind of gel to decrease the slip in my hair but am weary of anything that will build up or give me a headache. I could never wear hairspray for this reason, the smell and feel would just give me such a headache.
