I know this thread exist so if you know the link please point me in the direction! What do people put in their oils. What combinations? Base oils and EO and anything else you add. And how long do you leave it in. Before or after washing.

I usually use an Indian oil blend (auromere hair conditioning oil) the night before I wash my hair. It's a prewash oil but I don't put it on my scalp and has neem, indian pennywort, and other herbs in a sesame and coconut oil base. After that's used up I want to switch to something with Amla in a coconut oil base. Other than that I just use a little coconut or argon oil on the ends once a day without adding anything.

I keep it simple with straight safflower oil. I apply it to wet hair from scalp to tips, leave it for 30-60 minutes, then shampoo it out. That's the instructions I found for it online. It's a new treatment I'm trying.

I tried castor oil with sweet almond oil and rosemary oil 4 drops as a pre shower treatment, left it on for an hour then washed it out. First time I used that combo.

I'm very minimalistic. It's pure EVOO for pre-poos; coconut oil, shea or cocoa butter for ROO; and an oil blend for LOC that I got from an all-natural and organic brand (it's just a mix of pure oils, no cones or anything, I got it because cold pressed food grade oils go rancid on my hair if I use them as leave-ins, plus I wanted something fancy in a cute bottle).

I used to mix rosemary and peppermint EOs into my oil treatment when I oiled my scalp, but I don't oil my scalp anymore, and EOs are useless for lengths. Simple oil routines work for me, and I don't want to mess with it.

Just coconut oil for pre-poo on the lengths. On my scalp I use a mix of castor oil (right now goin through a bottle of regular castor oil, but JBCO is my preference) and something runnier, maybe neem (eww), as well as peppermint and tea tree EOs.

I use castor and rosemary on my scalp (only once every few weeks) as a prepoo, coconut (either monoi or regular depending on what I bought last) as a prepoo on the length, a mixture of either EVOO or almond and lavender essential oil as a ROO, and avocado oil with lavender and rose essential oils on wet hair after washing for my LOC. Sometimes I'll skip a step if I don't need it.

I usually just use coconut but since last year I've tried a mix of shea butter, coconut oil and almond oil (75% coconut oil) and it's worked alright. It's sometimes a bit heavy though. I've never tried any EOs. They're so expensive and I'm worried about spending that much then having the EO bother my asthma.
