My hair is always weighed down when I use Dove, and since it also aggrivates my eczema I stay away from the brand.
My friend's most impressive fourth ever braid on real hair a week after first learning, february-23.
I think I am going to be using up some Dove conditioners this year. Great that you reminded me I have some in my stash (but there is so much to choose from LOL). And I need to finish the oldest things in my collection up first! The Dove conditioners are newer to my collection. We'll see...
I use a can of Dove dry shampoo that I got at the dollar store, on those rare occasions when I want dry shampoo. No complaints. Ingredients seem fairly benign (about half of them are propellants, I wouldn't spray it near open flame).
I just used a 1 min. conditioner (left it in for 2 as I always do with any conditioner) by Dove. It's called "lisse & soyeux", and it's a beige bottle. It is a *heavenly* product. Just amazing feeling in the hair! I only have 2 bottles of these but they could easily replace my Herbal Essences Hello Hydration. It's also for dry, damaged hair. But gosh, awesome.
If you can get anything from that line, conditioner, mask, or leave-in wise, totally recommend.
I like the conditioner well enough. I was co-washing with it for a while but it seemed like I was shedding a lot so I stopped that. Now I use it occasionally for tangly ends. I don't think I've ever used the shampoo.
Sometimes I use Dove liquid body soap as a shampoo, it acts like a clarifying wash for me. My hair feels lighter and softer after using it.
Generally speaking I like Dove products because they smell inoffensive to me and don't make my scalp feel bad.
Never ever had good luck with any dove products. They are far too drying. I know folks that swear by them though.
For some reason they cause my hair to be more tangle-prone, I don't know why that is. They have very similar ingredients to other conditioners that I don't have problems with, maybe it's the ratio? I haven't used any of their haircare in a while.
Fingertip and growing to Knee!
World's Most Fragile Hair, for the World's Most Fragile Person
I saw some new ones today. A coconut milk hydration with the scent of lime (which I didn’t smell), and this lavender rosemary, which I personally thought smelled kind of artificial. Disappointing because I love lavender & rosemary, but don’t like any of the “natural” type brands on my hair and scalp, unfortunately:
